Electric is driving me crazy

I think I have someone messing with my mind.

Thursday there where big storms in the area, so our power flickered off and on a few times but then was okay.

That night around 10:00pm my daughter told me her power was off in her room.  It was her room and nothing else.  Went to the circuit breaker and couldn't figure it out.  Moved the switches that didn't have anything marked, but still no good.  Then I moved the other switches and found her room.  Got the power back on, for about 5 minutes it went off again.  Since I knew which switch I turned it off and back on, this time it lasted a minute.  So I told my son in the rec room turn the AC down, and had her turn hers down and it seemed stable for the night.

Now today there where no thunderstorms nothing, and we lost power sometime around 12:30 Peco had no clue why, it was everyone on our block, they said it could take up to 8:00 tonight to fix.  So we setup the generator.  It came back on around 2:30.  Unhooked everything.

Once everything was hooked back up my son PC no longer was working.  It was doing a big buzz noise and was getting no signal to the monitor.  After playing with it for awhile hooking up other monitors unhooking things we ran to Best buy thinking it was one part.  The Geek Squad said to bring it in, it could be the motherboard.  I didn't think it was but I told them I would try the part I brought and if not I would bring it back.  It wasn't the part I brought but I figured it out that one of the memory cards went bad.  It was luck once I got  the side off the pc and it was the first thing I pulled out to check.  I was amazed that I figured it out :) ).

So anyway Since I have been playing with cables and hooking up things and unhooking things I decided to go out to dinner.  When we came home we looked at hotels for our trip to Niagara Falls.  Then I cam up to my room.  Needles to say the power decided to give me a hard time again.  Only this time it was my room, the bathroom light, and part of the recroom.  Pushed the switches on the circuit breaker, went back up stairs and it went out again.

This is why I am saying someone is messing with my head.  One night my daughters room, the time the whole house, now it is my room, and we know that Peco is definitely switching the power off tomorrow for 2 hours for some kind of upgrade.

I am about to lose my mind with all of this stuff.

I guess i have it better then my sister who woke up to her house flooded by the ice maker in the refrigerator then found a wasp nest in her attic, and her car is leaking something. Plus she lost power along with us since she lives next door.

Sorry I am venting again, but I feel just a Tad better.  Not much but some.

OH NO I HEAR THUNDER!!! I can tell it is going to be one of those nights!

How weird. The only time we had a problem like that was due to water getting between the walls and short circuiting some of the wires to the breaker box.

I hope it gets better soon - I sorta like all my electricity to be running.

I like electricity also. It is really weird since it has happened almost every night and it is different rooms being affected. Last night it was my Dad's and Daughters again. Plus I had unplugged my pc hoping Peco would of done the upgrade. That is why I wasn't able to get back to you, and no posting :(

I figured it happens mostly around sometime after 10:00pm so I jumped on now to do my update real quick :)

I think all the storms and downed trees are causing issues even after the big storm. You know I lost power for a long time during that storm, but for no reason on Saturday night we lost power for about an hour, Then it was filckering on Sunday night. It also could be that it's been so hot and everyone is using the AC and it's too much to handle. Blackouts sometimes happen during heat waves. It does suck tough! >:(

Yeah you are right with this heat wave it could be anything. Overloading the circuits. Plus the storms last week really didn't help.

They are suppose to be upgrading I think the transformer. But with all of the power issues from last week I am sure it is on the back burner.
